Friday 17:20 ARoS – Double ConcertLast year 19-year-old Amalie Riis released her album debut “Places Where We Go” with her own songs and her own band. Rooted in the American songwriter tradition, yet also with an unmistakably Nordic tone, the tracks are characterized by a subdued sound which allows for Amalie’s vocal and the melancholy of the songs to unfold.
“Fire” is the title of Pernille Gunvad’s critically acclaimed debut album, which was released in April this year. The single “Feels like” is in heavy rotation on Danish Radio channels P3 and P4. Gunvad’s poetic and melancholic songs with English lyrics are a mix of acoustic and electronic rock/pop tunes. A sound with a distinctive vocal style, several layers of guitars, and ambitious orchestrations.
Presented in association with KulisseLageret, Writers' Club Special, and KODA
