African and Western tones and rhythms collide in a high-paced cocktail of cheerful guitars dancing above feathery drums, whilewind and vocals in perfect harmony strike up the tune. Katamanto Highlife Orchestra is a Danish ensemble, but they master the genre to the tiniest detail – perhaps most of all due to several of the members’ Ghanaian origin. Optimistic and very danceable music.
