Back from Mini-Tour in FranceJune 1, 2005
The Defectors - back home and
ready for SPOT

Aarhus-based The Defectors have just returned from a successful mini-tour in France. Among the highlights of the tour was heading the garage rock festival Cosmic Trip. On 11th June, The Defectors will be playing in Ridehuset.

It was The Defectors’ first tour outside Denmark with their new line up – with Kristian Westergaard replacing Mick Stegger on the guitar and Jes Bonde taking over the drum sticks from Jonas Jørgensen. At SPOT 11, they are to play Saturday afternoon. According to the garage rock band’s record company Bad Afro, they have just completed the recordings for a Danish-lyrics split EP with their buddies from Powersolo. For the EP, The Defectors are contributing “Frk. Snot” and “Små Blå Mænd”. The latter is a cover version of a Shu-bi-dua track – quite a surprise considering the fact that Shu-bi-dua are among the main suppliers of “good clean family entertainment you can trust” in Denmark. The EP will be released later this summer.
