The preparations for the eleventh edition of the SPOT Festival have long since been in full swing, and we are working hard to put together a programme which matches the success of the latest years with full houses and with bands such as Under Byen, The Raveonettes, Junior Senior, Tina Dickow, Saybia, Teitur, Mew, etc. taking big steps in their respective careers – also when it comes to getting international attention.

SPOT 11 will take place 10th - 11th June 2005 in central Aarhus and will once again focus on the new Danish and Nordic music as well as the musical trends which are evolving right now.

During the two festival days, the SPOT Festival will present a total of 80 to 90 Danish and Scandinavian bands on its eight or nine stages. On top of that, SPOT 11 will feature a range of lectures and debates with both national and international players and debaters who will attempt to put today’s music scene in perspective as well as offering their prophecies on the future of the music scene.

Thus, it’s a programme which should be able to satisfy the interested music audience as well as both the Danish and the international music industry, the media, etc.

We expect to reveal the first bands in late February after which new names will be announced regularly until the final programme is available.

In other words: Keep an eye on this website where all the news and pieces of information regarding the musical program, lectures etc. will be publicised as soon as they are available.
