The dynamic trio Carpark North delivered a parade of hit songs and potential hits in front of a great audience this evening at Spot.

Their latest album “All Things To All People” is characterized by a very ambitious production, one you might fear would be difficult to translate into live music. This wasn’t the case though, as Carpark North succeeded in transferring the sound and energy, among others in the opener “Berlin” and the new single “Best Day”. Their new harder guitar sound which at times borders on the metal-genre, suits the bands great as a contrast to one of their trademarks, the melodic grandiose and often harmonically brilliant choruses.

The concert was an inferno of light and sound, but the band also gave room for more soft elements. In the beautiful ballade “Fireworks”, and in the middle part of “The Beasts”, another great song from the new album, where a choir standing amongst the audience sang a beautiful a capella section before the band took the song to a thundering climax. Carpark North assured the audience how happy they were to be back playing in their hometown at the Spot-festival, and the feeling was definitely mutual.
