By Jan Jørgensen, MyMusic.dk | Foto: Lars Dyrendom | | Thick smoke, scorching heat, and flames that sticks to your skin. This is how a Molotov cocktail works. This is also true of the highly energetic discharges from Norwegian band Cloroform.
Drums, floor bas and heavily distorted keys played by the orange clad trio incorporated and switched agilely between analogue chunks of electronica sounding cut ups, rough riding secret agent funk and aggressive crypto punk.
The chemical substance Chloroform is often used by comic book villains to sedate their victim in order to drag them away unnoticed and do unmentionable things to them. There was, however, no sedative effect, no discretion to Cloroforms explosive energy on stage, and I don’t mind terribly mentioning what they did to my dancing legs, either.
Review: 6 out 6 stars
From: Oslo, Norway
Reputation: The band members all play in various succesful bands (Mike Patton, Kaizers Orchestra) and is an absolute must see for most festivalers in Denmark and Sweden.
