Funch - SPOT 11, Officer

*Funch starts out in full speed. Rock n’ roll dressed in black all the way down to the feet. But during the concert Funch visits many corners of rock – and it never gets confusing or sloppy. This is because two
main things are kept central. Firstly the fundament created by the band.
Secondly lead singer Claus Funchs intense and astonishing vokal. Claus Funch takes off from the fundament and lifts the concert. Way up.

Fueled by a constant luring rage Claus Funch places himself in the center of attention. His eyes show frequent glimpse of the volcanoes' fatale rapture.

We’re sailing in waters that Bright Eyes, Chris Cornell and Thomas Dybdahl has visited earlier. But the closest ship must be Pedro The Lion, as he sounds on “Control”. Funch display the same remarkable and underplayed aggressiveness as Pedro The Lion. Furthermore the singing takes of in a deep and dark voice. It was a good concert that Claus Funch made unique. Playing early wasn’t an advantage for the band, but they displayed lots of melancholy charm never the less. Funch is a band I’ll recommend from this day on without even blinking.

Review*: 5 out of 6
*From*: Odense, Denmark
*Signed to*: self financed Ep "Up against all history" out now. Free downloads on homepage.
*Genre and reputation:* Rock fusion. New band, who has had good reviews in the critical magazines, since they emerged. They are supported by Rytmisk Musik Danmark and have many supporters in the larger cities of Denmark.
